Terms of service for VTS merchants.
These terms explain how merchants use VTS to reduce fashion returns with AI body scanning, fit heatmaps, virtual try-on, AI photoshoots, and merchant analytics.
1. Service
VTS is a Shopify app that provides AI body scanning, fit heatmaps, virtual try-on, AI photoshoot generation, ghost mannequin generation, model swap, face swap, background studio, and merchant analytics for fashion stores.
2. Merchant responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for connecting the correct Shopify store, maintaining accurate product data and size charts, reviewing generated product assets before publishing, and using VTS in compliance with applicable laws and Shopify App Store rules.
3. Shopper experience
VTS provides size recommendations and visual try-on experiences to help shoppers buy with confidence. Recommendations are based on available shopper inputs, two full-body photos when provided, product data, and fit algorithms. Merchants remain responsible for their return policy, product quality, fulfillment, and customer support.
4. AI-generated assets
AI photoshoot outputs, including ghost mannequin, model swap, face swap, and background studio assets, are generated from merchant-provided product images and prompts. Merchants must review outputs for accuracy, brand fit, rights, and product representation before publishing.
5. Data handling
Shopper photos are processed through a secure AI pipeline and deleted within 24 hours. Measurements are encrypted at rest with AES-256, protected in transit with TLS 1.3, associated with anonymous IDs, and retained for up to 12 months unless deleted earlier.
6. Billing and trial
VTS pricing starts at $17.99/month and includes a 14-day free trial. Plan limits, credit volumes, feature availability, and scale options may vary by plan. Merchants can upgrade, downgrade, or uninstall through Shopify billing and app management flows.
7. Uninstall
When a merchant uninstalls VTS, all merchant and customer data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Immediate deletion requests can be sent to support@virtualtryon.studio.
8. Acceptable use
Merchants may not use VTS to process unlawful content, violate privacy rights, misrepresent products, create deceptive advertising, reverse engineer the service, overload systems, or attempt to access data belonging to another merchant.
9. Availability and support
VTS aims to provide reliable app functionality and business-day support within 24 hours. Service availability may vary during maintenance, platform outages, AI provider incidents, or Shopify infrastructure issues.
